From Irish Draught horses to working hunter ponies, the equine events have always played an important role in the Lincolnshire Show. Over the years the show jumping competitions, scurry classes and heavy horse turnouts have proved a popular attraction in the Clydesdale Bank Main Ring.

In-Hand Shires
S13 is a is a Qualifier for the Midland Shire Foal Society Show & Sale’s Young Handler of the Year Award.

Ridden Hunters

Class 29 is a qualifier for the Ruth Lears Novice Working Hunter Championship . The top four competitors, not already qualified in the top six, will qualify for the final to be held at BSPS Arena UK Championship Show on 21st – 24th August, 2013. The final will have a first prize of £250, second of £100 and third and fourth £50.

Mountain & Moorland Working Hunter Pony

152 PRP RESCUE SERVICES MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND 133cm WORKING HUNTER PONY, four years old or over. Stallion, Mare or Gelding, exceeding 122cm but not 133cm. Horse of the Year Show Qualifier 2013.

153 PRP RESCUE SERVICES MOUNTAIN & MOORLAND 143cm WORKING HUNTER PONY, four years old or over. Stallion, Mare or Gelding, exceeding 133cm but not exceeding 143cm. Horse of the Year Show Qualifier 2013.

How much does it cost to enter a class?
The entry fees for each class can be found in the Livestock and Equine Prize Schedules.
 
Which day are the horses judged?
Most of the horse classes such as the Ridden Hunter and In-Hand Shires are judged on Wednesday. The horse ring timetable can be found in the front of the prize schedule.
 
Which day are the ponies judged?
The pony classes, including the Children’s Riding Ponies and the Show Hunter Ponies, are judged on Thursday. The pony ring timetable can be found in the front of the prize schedule. 
 
Which day is the Private Driving?
The Private Driving class is usually the first display to be held in the Main Ring on Wednesday. 
 
Which day is the Scurry Driving?
Scurry Driving takes place on both days. The small scurry will be held on Wednesday and the large scurries on Thursday in the Main Ring. The Championship takes place on Thursday. 
 
Will I receive a VAT receipt for my entries?
All entries will receive a VAT receipt via email. Entries are processed on a daily basis so please send your entries in early.
 
When will my tickets arrive?
Exhibitor tickets, passes and numbers and the updated rings programme will be posted out to you at the end of May or in early June. 
 
When is the prize money sent out?
The prize money will be issued on the day in the form of a voucher that can be redeemed at the Thomas Cook Bank on site, or up to the end of July via post. 
 
What time are the classes judged?
The horse and pony rings programmes are in the Equine Prize Schedule. The rings programme will be available on the Lincolnshire Show web site in June and in the Equine Catalogue which will be available on show days.
